Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan on new media has warned Acting President Yemi Osinbajo not to allow himself to be pushed into the shadows by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Omokri was reacting to recent reports that Osinbajo described the relationship between him and Buhari as that of a father and son
According to Omokri, while the relationship described by Osinbajo is not entirely bad, it was not proper for the leadership of a country like Nigeria.
He wrote: “There is nothing wrong with President Muhammadu Buhari treating Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo like a son, but it is more respectful to treat him like a brother. “How you treat your son is different from how you treat your brother. Your son is under you in a submissive way, but your younger brother is behind you but not under you. Osinbajo should submit to the Nigerian constitution and not to Buhari. He should respect and defer to Buhari but he should also have a spine and be his own man.
